Sink-In

I have thought a lot this week.
Thought about this the other night...

I sink into these sheets like a hot tub,
getting away from the midnight.
I sink into these sheets to
sink into dreams that will take me
far away from controlling anxiousness,
away from waiting, away from the cold and the brash.
I'll be awake soon, but rather be sinking
like the Titanic capsizing
if only to get away from all the manic in the world

I'll sink once more tonight.

These are intriguing thoughts that I am having as of late, I'm actually getting a lot of joy and emotion out of them. I really feel like I'm learning for the first time.

Ordinary has become Extraordinary

Girl you're probably wantin' a tattoo'd up, pierced, be all know all
He'll leave you soon after you take that hard fall.
Well honey, that ain't me.
I'm real, not no fantasy
Got a big heart that loves to love
and I'll tell you you're beautiful everyday.
Roses are my friend, and you'll get some randomly to show I'm there till the end.
I'm not like those other guys, they want the goods;
I want the goods and the bads.

Something that came into my head late at night.
I feel like I'm getting a better hold of myself, and who I am. I lost myself for a while. I think I'm coming back.
I sound crazy. I'm tired of seeing I's, I'm so self centered, but fuck it, this is MY blog. :)

Enjoy your life. as Bruce from "Bruce Almighty" would say; It's Good.

HUGS

Hugs, what are they? Where did hugging come from? Why do we hug each other? what does a hug imply? Are we friends, are we more than friends? Is that based on where I hug you, whether it be around your upper torso, or down around your waist? Why, as human beings, do we feel good after being hugged?

A hug is a form of physical intimacy, not necessarily sexual, that usually involves closing or holding the armslove and affection, along with kissing. Unlike some other forms of physical intimacy, it is practiced publicly and privately without stigma in many countries, religions and cultures, within families, and also across age and gender lines. around another person or group of persons. The hug is one of the most common human signs of
Sometimes, hugs are a romantic exchange. Hugs may also be exchanged as a sign of support and comfort. A hug can be a demonstration of affection and emotional warmth, sometimes arising out of joy or happiness at meeting someone.
Hugs are mostly short and used to show many levels of affection. It is not particular to human beings alone, as there are many species of animals that engage in similar exchanges of warmth.
Hugging has been proven to have health benefits. One study has shown that hugs increase levels of oxytocin, and reduce blood pressure.
There are different variations of hugs. Prolonged hugging in a cozy, comfortable position is called cuddlingThere is also the term snuggling, also known as "kanoodling", coined by the modern psychologist Alexander Althoff, that refers a more intimate form of cuddling, with the two bodies almost intertwined, i.e. one's leg in between the other's.
In May 2009, the New York Times reported that "the hug has become the favorite social greeting when teenagers meet or part these days" in the United States.[6] A number of schools in the United States have issued bans on hugs, which in some cases have resulted in student-led protests against these bans.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hug  }

Crush Hug: Press the hugged warmly towards you. If you are a man, her arms should be around your neck, and you should be embracing her around the waist. When pressing her against you, you can lift her up a bit, pressing her chest and upper stomach against yours. Keep it in that position for a while, and then let go. Look her in the eyes when you separate and continue the conversation naturally. If you are the woman, put your arms behind his neck and press your chest lightly onto his chest. { http://www.wikihow.com/Hug }

Hugs are a strange thing, but it feels satisfying and natural to receive a really nice hug. Everyone should be hugged atleast once in their life. Everyone should be hugged more often.

Helmet to Helmet

The NFL is cracking down on players that lead with their helmet to tackle the opposing player. This comes after a week of huge helmet to helmet hits. Especially from the Falcons v. Eagles game last Sunday. If you haven't already seen it all over the news and ESPN, Desean Jackson(Eagles WR) got virtually annihilated by Dunta Robinson(Falcons CB). Here's a pretty good look at it.

So the NFL has, first of all, fined Robinson $50,000 (James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers also got a hefty fine of $75,000, because of the hit on Mohamed Massaquoi). Second, the NFL is throwing out a warning to all the players that if they do indeed tackle helmet to helmet, there we be suspensions. And third, officials now have the ability to eject players from a game if it occurs.

  The Rule: ARTICLE 3. a. No player shall initiate contact and target an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. When in question, it is a foul.
b. No player shall initiate contact and target a defenseless opponent above the shoulders. When in question, it is a foul. (Refer to Points of Emphasis on FR-9 for a description of “Defenseless Player.”)

 A good question now is how do we prevent the players from practically vegetating each other?
Considering he didn't play with one back in the day, Joe Paterno has a pretty good hypothesis: No face mask, no problems. He states, "It's a weapon, guys are fearless." Maybe hes right. I don't see any reason why they shouldn't disperse of the face mask. Maybe it will make those guys out there who do think they are invincible think twice before laying the smack down on a guy. But then again, this is America, and we do love great entertainment, huge hits, big tits, and injuries.
